We're Hiring! Philanthropy Advisor - March 2026

Are you a seasoned relationship manager who wants to inspire more philanthropy across Waterloo Region? Do you pride yourself on attention to detail and providing exemplary customer service? Do you approach things with heart, hustle and humility? If so, Waterloo Region Community Foundation is looking for you to join our team in the newly created role of Philanthropy Advisor.

Waterloo Region Community Foundation’s approach to Philanthropy:
Waterloo Region Community Foundation (WRCF) is a registered charity and one of over 200 Community Foundations in Canada. We work with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and charities to ensure our communities are equitable, connected, and sustainable; and people are thriving. As an endowment-based public foundation, gifts are invested and annual earnings are distributed back to the community. Together with our Fundholders, we have granted almost $100 million to organizations over 40+ years - $7.6 million in 2025 alone. We walk alongside philanthropists to help them navigate the complex local charitable sector, making it easy for them to match passions and resources with organizations, and to make an impact both today and well into the future. About the Role:

The Advisor will also be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing Fundholders, providing exceptional stewardship and service that leads to additional gifts. In addition, the Advisor will build relationships with professional advisors, in areas such as law, accounting, financial planning, family wealth, and insurance, to help them inspire more philanthropy in their clients.
