Waterloo Region is on track to grow to one million people by the year 2050.

How do we work together to grow community as our community grows? It's time to talk about the social infrastructure that we need to ensure we have a system of organizations, spaces, and experiences that enable people to connect with each other to create a sense of belonging and wellbeing for all our residents. Let’s dive into the data together to turn discussions into action.

Please join WRCF on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 1:00 PM for a webinar to launch Waterloo Region’s 2025 Vital Signs® Report focused on Social InfrastructureSteven Ayer, Founder and CEO of Common Good Strategies and the Lead Author and Researcher for the report, will present key findings. Then, Eric Avner, WRCF's President and CEO, will join Steve to respond to questions from webinar participants and to discuss opportunities for the report’s use in our community.

All attendees will receive a link to the full report after the session.

Strengthening our community through connections
Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Strengthening our community through connections. September 18, 2025, 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM, Federation Hall

Strong social infrastructure starts with human connection. It's built through trusted relationships that foster long-term health and wellbeing, increase social cohesion and inclusivity, and drive economic and community benefit. But how do we create and sustain these connections?

Join us on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 4:30 PM for a conversation about the power of connection. We will hear from Pete Bombaci, Founder & CEO of GenWell: The Human Connection Movement, followed by a fireside chat. There will also be an opportunity to dive into some of the themes from Waterloo Region's 2025 Vital Signs® Report focused on social infrastructure.
