WRCF Do More Good Dialogues - Conversations in Communities are happening now!

WRCF wants to hear from people across our region. We will be on-site at libraries around Waterloo Region between November 8th and 18th to chat and answer any questions you have about your community foundation, and to get your input on issues of importance in your neighbourhood, city and/or township. No registration is required, simply show up at your preferred date and time to talk with us.

Affordable Housing GIC and Loan are now available through Kindred Credit Union

People across Waterloo Region are asking, “How can I help with the affordable housing crisis in our community?”

Kindred’s Affordable Housing Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) is open to all investors with a minimum of $500 required. You’ll earn a competitive interest rate while supporting lending for long-term, owned or rented permanent affordable housing for residents of Waterloo Region.

Porchlight Counselling & Addiction Services’ Young at Heart Lunch and Learn for Seniors program is helping tackle isolation while supporting the overall well-being of seniors in North Dumfries. WRCF was happy to provide funding for this important initiative.

#ToastyToesWR2022

Did you know? Socks are one of the most requested items at local shelters, and one of the least donated. ToastyToes Waterloo Region has launched its 2022 fundraising campaign to help buy socks for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

The 2022 campaign runs until December 10, 2022.

2023 Microgrants for Waterloo Region Artists

Pat the Dog Theatre Creation is accepting applications for its 2023 program of Micro-grants for Waterloo Region artists: 25 micro-grants of $1,000 each ($25,000 total) with each micro-grant representing the equivalent of 1-week paid work.
